Pork Chop Ube Ala Pobre

A unique twist on a classic dish! Juicy pork chops are elevated with the sweet, nutty notes of Elufa Ube Powder or Elufa Flavor Powder and seasoned to perfection with Elufa Pork Seasoning Powder. A must-try for bold flavor seekers.

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops:

• 2 teaspoons Elufa Pork Seasoning Powder

• 1 kilo Pork Chops

• 3 tbsps Calamansi Juice

• 3 tbsps Soy Sauce

• 3 tbsps Butter

• ½ cup Oil (for frying)

For the Gravy:

• ¼ cup Elufa Ube Powder

• 1 teaspoon Elufa Pork Seasoning Powder

• ¼ cup Elufa Garlic Flakes (optional substitute for fried garlic)

• ¼ cup Butter

• 1 tbsp Garlic, chopped

• ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour

• 1 cup All-Purpose Cream

• ¼ cup Evaporated Milk

• ½ cup Pork Broth

• 1 teaspoon Salt

Procedure

For the Pork Chops

1. Marinate pork chops with calamansi juice, soy sauce, and Elufa Pork Seasoning Powder for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

2. Pan-sear the pork chops in butter and oil, frying both sides until light to golden brown.

3. Set aside while preparing the gravy.

For the Gravy:

1. Sauté garlic in butter over low heat.

2. Add the all-purpose flour and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk.

3. Stir in Elufa Ube Powder and mix well.

4. Gradually add evaporated milk, all-purpose cream, and pork broth. Mix until smooth.

5. Season with salt and Elufa Pork Seasoning Powder. Adjust seasoning to taste.

6. Pour the gravy over the cooked pork chops.

7. Garnish with Elufa Garlic Flakes or fried garlic (optional).

8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
